- Trust The Process: The entrepreneur’s journey can feel lonely at times. You are never quite sure if you are on the right track, but you keep going because that’s what your heart says. I’ve had many sleepless nights, tears, stomping on the ground, and excessive amounts of potato chips these last few months trying to decide where to take Monday Vibes and my business. And the amazing part is, once I let go of needing to know all the answers, everything began making sense.
A gentle reminder for this week: When you focus on what’s in alignment for you, the rest falls into place with ease.
- Book Update: The not-so-secret secret here in the Monday Vibes community is that I wrote a book! The tentative title is Flawed: Feeling Worthy in a Society that Demands Perfection and it blends my own experiences with perfectionism with my research on burnout and perfectionism from graduate school. I’m currently seeking a literary agent to find it a good home and practicing asking for help along the way. If any of you have experience or contacts in the book publishing world, or know an agent who would be interested, I’d be endlessly appreciative to connect as I learn more about this process!

I love kids. And I love songs with soul. So when I come across kids who sing songs with soul, MY HEART EXPLODES. I’m obsessed with the PS22 Chorus and every time I watch this video, it takes me somewhere. Tears, smiles, and more tears.

Ya’ll, Self Care is a fab book. Who else has read it? I thought it was a hilarious read for anyone who’s worked in the start-up world or likes poking fun at the hypocrisy of the wellness industry. Where feminism is taken a step too far and wellness is corrupted by capitalism. Where the lines get blurry and integrity crumbles. All juicy topics that I spend a lot of my days thinking about. Plus, as a writer, it’s a great example of how to write unlikeable characters.
