CALLING ALL HUSTLERS: We’ve gotta redefine productivity. Yes, there is a time for hustling. I’m all about goal-setting and goal-getting. But I also know that if I don’t carve out enough me-time, I’m going to get sick. 😷
When I get sick, it’s a sign that I:
-Pushed too hard
-Overextended myself
-Committed to too many activities
-Neglected self-care
-Worked too many hours
-Gave too much
-Received too little
By paying close attention to my energy level, I can start to sense when I’ve overdone it. When I feel any of the warning signs that I might be getting sick, I start cancelling social plans, dialing back my workouts, moving non-essential meetings, and pumping up my self-care rituals. I used to feel so guilty, selfish, and dare I say lazy for doing this but I’ve learned it’s actually the most productive thing I can do in the long run. 💫
Ask Yourself: Do you believe rest can be productive? What’s the story you tell yourself about why you can’t carve out more me-time? 🌷
