Creative Playground
Adulting is hard. Trauma sucks. And everything is way too serious.
The Creativity Playground is your permission slip to do something just for fun. I’ll kick us off! Here’s my creative expression for the month:
If you didn’t already know, March is Women’s History Month so the patriarchy’s been on my mind. So much of spirituality is still governed by the patriarchy. Like, the whole point is to be kind to yourself in moments of suffering.
It’s not about trying to outsmart the process and only thinking positive thoughts and meaning-making the death out of things and living a pain-free life. Sometimes, bad shit just happens. Period. In celebration of International Women’s Day on March 8, I journaled eight ways we can smash the patriarchy (and probably already are!) in our everyday lives.
8 Ways to Smash the Patriarchy on the Daily
📈 Asking for a promotion
🌻 Doing less
😴 Taking a nap
🙅🏻♀️ Saying “no” to a thing
🥺 Being kind to yourself in moments of suffering
🍃 Letting go of perfectionist tendencies
🤦🏻♀️ Not blaming yourself when bad shit happens
🤗 Accepting a compliment
Now It’s Your Turn
Set your timer for 10 minutes and give this month’s creativity exercise a whirl! Share YOUR version of 8 ways you are smashing the patriarchy on the daily and use the hashtag: #mondayvibesmoments. Excited to see what you come up with!
Muse(s) of the Month
Each month we feature AAPI folx who are doing cool shit in the world and it is OUR FAVORITE THING EVER! In celebration of Women’s History Month, I’ve rounded up eight of my fave WOC-owned brands to help smash the patriarchy. Their products and services are not only super cute, but they’re changing the societal mindset one purchase at a time. Some of them have even offered our community a special discount just for this month, exclusively in this email. 🛍 Scroll on for small-biz-shopping and badass-women-supporting!
Spill The Boba
I just have so much to share with you all that I decided to add in a “Spill the Boba” section to Monday Vibes! This is a special pop-up section where I’ll share random musings, lessons, annoyances and stories.
This month, I tell a story of when I thought I needed to take the morning after pill even though I hadn’t had sex–yep, that’s what happens when we don’t teach girls about their bodies #thankspatriarchy. Listen below!
Now put on that red lipstick and blossom into your full self this spring!✨

Elizabeth
