Hands down one of the best decisions I ever made to heal my relationship with food was seeing an Ayurvedic coach. Learning that every body has different needs and reacts to food differently was life-changing—and the only thing that allowed me to stop hyper-focusing on what I ate, what others ate and what the magazines told me I should eat.
Suddenly, I was starting to ask my own body: What would you like to eat today? Ayurveda is all about balance, so it almost became like a fun game to figure out what foods would feel really good in my body at different times. As someone who tends to be more vata imbalanced (meaning I have a lot of air energy and spend too much time in my head), it became important for me to eat primarily warm, cooked foods. I couldn’t believe what a difference the simple change from cereal in the morning to warm broth made on how I felt for the rest of the day.
This month, I’m beyond excited to feature New York-based Monday Vibes subscriber and Ayurvedic chef and coach Natasha Brunetti.
How you are currently spending your energy:
Following my passion and purpose to help people heal through food and lifestyle by making ancient wisdom accessible to modern life. I believe everyone can take ownership of their health through simple techniques. I started my business during lockdown, due to the demand of people looking to increase their immunity and prioritize their health. It’s been a blessing to see something positive come of the current situation.
Why do you love Monday Vibes:
Monday Vibes reminds me that I am not alone. That connections exist all around us and that we are all part of something greater than ourselves. I always find the content stimulating, giving me a different perspective, and of course, a little joy and dance on a Monday is always welcomed!
What is your current fave self-care ritual:
Massaging my hands and feet 5 minutes every morning and evening to maximize my energy—which also focuses me in the morning and relaxes me at night.
What song are you currently jamming out to:
Blinding Lights by Weeknd (Follow the Spotify playlist “Jam it Out with Elizabeth” to stay up-to-date with the weekly tunes 🎵)
How would your BFF describe you in 3 emojis:
🙏🏾🌿🌞
What gift would you like to offer the MV community:
“It is health that is the real wealth.”—Mahatma Gandhi
I am happy to gift a free 15 minute consultation to anyone in need and a 25 percent discount off a full evaluation and health plan.
